Description: Trees are a significant component of Georgia Tech’s urban campus environment. The institutional trees on campus are an integral part of the current infrastructure. Unlike other components, the tree population, when properly cared for, will actually increase its value as trees mature over time. Davey Resource Group performed an inventory of 11,046 trees on campus. Data on trees were collected, analyzed, differentially corrected, and post processed, to provide information on species, i-Tree Eco based tree measurements, and tree risk assessments. Additional processing of these data in i-Tree Eco provides information on the urban forest’s structure and function.
